All those little different specs that stand out in the dark patches in the sand are actually pieces of highly concentrated plastic that can’t be broken down. Did you know you actually ingest these particles while you swim and surf in the Pacific Ocean? Oh yeah the sea life eats them too. Atleast we got some rain. #justsaying #plastic #greatpacificgarbagepatch

Please take the time to understand the story of the Congo . You won’t see much coverage of it in the states because corpo America has too many $$$ ‘s tied up in it. Do you know that your iPhone, cameras, computers and other tech gadgets contain valuable minerals only found in Africa? “While minerals from the Congo have enriched your life, they often have brought violence, rape and instability to the Congo. Armed groups fight for control of these minerals and mines using murder, extortion, and mass rape as a deliberate strategy to control local populations which help them secure control of mines, trading routes and other strategic areas. Did you know this decade long war has left 5.4 million people dead making it the deadliest armed conflict since WWll. Huge companies like Apple are still using conflict mineral and the list of huge corporations can go on forever… #democraticrepublicofCongo #conflictminerals #awareness copy and paste this link. http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2013/10/conflict-minerals/gettleman-text
